Dragonfly, bicycles...

Hello all of you!!!  Still nice weather here...last nigh it rain but it was good, my garden really need some of it...and as a recycle, I usually don't like to waste water either (or anything!); so I wait and always see the weather forecast...they had predicted some rain so I save some time and water...
Well here are 3 toppers I did from leftover papers and flyers...I have a special box were I put all this paper or any kind of material, and when I have time and want to relax a bit I re use it again...||||||||And now I will use this toppers for my father day's card...
I think that one way to re use things is using stamps and buy CD art works or card-making,  in this way you only print what you want...by the way i have design some backgrounds for card-making or inserts...I have to learn how I can make them available here so you can download them for free...no more chatting here are the toppers....
The wings of the dragonfly were made form a leftover vellum, because I only need the wing area the I could use a small leftover, stamp it, then the base is the back of a sheet that came in something I buy...

The antiques bicycles and images were from my left over paper..I do my own stamps so I always re use the art work...I put them together and made a collage style and the background is made from strips of paper glue together over a flyer .  The upper the upper right one, I use a light cardboard that came inside something, I added some mica paints, and water crushed it then open it and let it dry..it almost look like leather or fabric..so I use it as a back ground and to be honest the photo doesn't make it look as good as it is!  But you can have an idea also.

ARTIST TRADING CARDS (ATC)

Hello you!  Hope you are great ...this sunshine morning...wow  I need it!
Do you know what I did...I joined an ATC group!  I think this is amazing...because while making ATC, you can use so many things you have around your home or workplace or street!!!
I am still learning about this but already making 2 of recycled things I have...
Also you can use altered art, and what I understand about altered art is that you can use almost anything and put it on a card or art work you are doing...I have been doing altered art without even noticing..
Another thing interesting about this, is that you can create your own techniques and keep them so when you want to use something, you can go back and review what you have make!
As soon I finish my first recycle ATC I will post it here...
C ya soon!

bangles, key holder, boxes, tape holder

By mistake my blog were like in half...So if you want to see the picture keep on scrolling down...still don't understand this.
Can someone help me please!!!!!!!!!!!
In a few day I will put some more pictures of another projects I just have began...and want to try a new technique given by my friend Maria, form Mexico...Viva Mexico ! I must ask her  recipes to make chilakiles, antojitos...taquitos...wow...I love hot spicy hot food!!!!...nice ah....A guy in a chilli festival in Brighton told me to write a book about chilli, when I was explain him how to eat very hot spicy chillies...

Oops....

I am still trying to understand this, so sorry, my bold was published without finishing it, but I don't know were to edit it...so better continue...I will learn in the way!
So the second box took a little more of time, this one is use for the handmade embellishment I made for the  cards, so it is use for dry material, I cover it with pieces of papers, photocopies that went bad and similar. When the glue was dry, I pass a black marker around some figures, then I cover it with an acrylic varnish and let it dry..
So it is very easy, I am using the boxes and they look much better like this in my desk!  If you want to make some for gift or ornate, then you must take  your time, you can applied ribbons flowers , what you like, this were made very quick and fast, apart for the time I need the varnish to dry, I will say doing both didn't took me more that 20 minutes!

Here are the new bangles!  They are very different and you can decorate them as you wish making them personal.  Here I used some of my stamp design and newspaper that I soak it in tea, so it looks oldie...I must say I love vintage art, retro art I love it!
The rose with red one, was made with something that I was painting but didn't went so good!!! So I decide to use it in my thin bangle, and it looks better here that in the paint itself!
Here are some oldies  that I have been using for a while (more or less a year) now and they still look great!

now down here is a picture of a very quick tape holder, I didn't ornate it so much because the tapes rolls cover it and I have it in my desk.  For this one I use a toilet paper cardboard and a square rectangle from a some packing, it really help me find the now my different types of tapes i use for my crafting...it really have been a life saver for me, if you prefer it larger it can be used instead of a toilet cardboard roll, a towel paper one.  The nice thing of this style of craft you do it how you like it!  I put the bangles instead, so it can be use for thing like this also!
Down there is something I still don't know in what i will use it!!!  But in the U.S.A. I know that using bottle caps is so in fashion now so maybe you can design something...so here is the idea
The watch strap were made with grunge paper, it is a recycle paper that is use for crafting very extensively in the U.S.A.  here are some that we made for your eyes only...jiojijjijiji
I must say that my niece use them like bangles also.  I did some masculine types for my son and he love them, I forgot to take pictures !!!!! OMG...well that is me!!!

see u soon...hey who like hot chilli stuff!!!

Bangles, watches straps and boxes!

HELLO!
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!
Well, my promise was to deliver less word and more pictures...so here they are!
hope you enjoy them!

This boxes were commercial boxes that came in the post, but I don't like to see in my desk those commercial brands, the first one (geometric style) is cover with contact plastic out and inside because I use it to keep in them my little bottles that I use when I refill my printers ink packs, this one I made it very quick, it didn't take more than 15 minutes, we use an extra strong glue stick cut some leftovers pieces of handmade papers and other glue them and cover them with the plastic around I use a gift wrapping paper leftover from something I odnt remeber now

Techniques and materials

I friend recently read this blog and told me to let you know the materials for making this different cards, jewellery key holders etc.
Because this is a non commercial profit blog, I will tell you what I use but not the brand, if you wish to know about a brand you can mail me at my personal e mail and I will tell you my experience.
Now lets go to work!!!
STAMPS
I love stamping and I think that stamping is very helpful in recycling.  The versatility of stamp is very useful for recycling, because the stamp can be used in almost any kind of surface, you can paint it, how you like, also you can stamp in cardboard, pieces of plastics, wood thing you can put through your printer.  Also if you can't draw the stamp will have the drawing for you! so instead of printing  or buying printed papers with drawing, you will be able to stamp it and then you can painted with what you have on hand (watercolour, colour pencil, acrylic. micas) or leave then as they are!  Also it speed all, because depending on what is the project, for example if you want different figures it will take more time to do it, stamping will take minutes only!  Many of the card I had made for x mas, I use stamping, but in this techniques you can also squibble  lines of different colours all around
The stamp can be used in pieces of waste paper, news papers, flyers, brochures they are useful also if you make your own jewellery.
Many of the stamps I use I have make then others I have buy, but they will last for years if you maintain them.  So is  something that you don't need to be buying and buying over and over again!
This stamp the background was leftover papers I stamp over them with different stamps but also it can be squibble with different s colors and design and the centre snowman is also stamp in a piece of paper leftover, and also it is glue over a brochure that came through my door...So no waste at all and also it is cheaper than buying background pages a card paper and a picture...the cost, maybe taking time relaxing and doing something I love, and knowing that all this is not going to the bin!  And the most wonderful experience was that almost everyone I gave them x mas card like this, took the time to call me and ask me about how I did it and want to know more about recycling things...so is a win win at least for me.

This image was printed but went wrong...so instead of throwing it I re use it again.

This other more all lest the same thing, but you can see how with the same technique we can achieve different styles!  They look differences and you can applied this to every time in the year.

The only thing we need is waste paper, maybe we were doing something and went wrong, a printed paper that you don't need any more, keep it!  Waste from another project, a card, a postcard, any kind of leftover paper, a bad home work any kind of paper will be useful even if it have been painted that is no a problem, the more different the papers the better effect!
Well this is for today, English is not my native language so please forgive me for any mistake or for not express myself enough..I do the best...but I think I have still much to learn...(English language)

Recycling in paradise island!!

Hello!  Hope you are all fine!
Today I will post some pictures of the recycling work done in a small island in the Panamanian Caribbean Sea, a island call Bocas del Toro!  Who literally means mouth of the bull...we stay a fabulous week...between cabins, camping and hotels...
it was impressive, in the hotel we first stay, there water supplies for showering and cleaning come directly from the rain!  So they use rain water in the hotel, the interior wall were made by the landlord lady with different kinf of bottles...the napkins holders, coconut shells...the tables with beautiful design made from bottle glass...the furniture was logs and stones found in nature...it was incredible.  The landlady told me that she did almsot everything from waste...
In town I witness a good event, everyone brings to the park plaza what they made from recycled cardboards, plastic bottles, even dry leaves of coconut palms...
A restaurant was using there especial toilet, with to feel it you have your own bucket to pick water from the sea...

Pendant, candle wax and key holder all recycled!

here a bring you some pictures of some of the things I had made with paper and card stuff .
The pendant was made from a very hard cardboard that came with something I buy, then is done by using different scarp paper left overs,  they were glue them one over another and mark with a black marker, then  put some embossing clear enamel powder and the edge I put gold embossing powder, a ribbon and a string and that is all!|  To be honest in the picture it is difficult to appreciate it, it look like glasses melt together...the key holder was made with a leftover of grunge paper (this is a type of recycle paper that looks like leather and is very strong) I did a collage of different leftover little pictures from printing, then they were painted and cover in lacquer the other side was stamp with a tree stamps from Gersariel Collections, then painted with mica and cover with sparling glue type glitter.  Ans now my first baby!  the candle, this candle have burn and have a misshapen rounded form, so first I trim it a little to make it more even, then I stamped (Gersariel Collections Stamps) in tissue paper that came in a x mas gift, painted with marker, then cut the stamped area very near the edges, put it over the candle and cover it with baking paper (also can use kitchen wax paper I think is better) put a little tape in the back to fix it and heat with my stamping heat gun all over, I must admit I heat it to long and it melt a little (this is my first attempt doing this) but I safe a very ugly candle, use some leftover tissue and baking paper and I think it looks some kind vintage or retro that is the style I love!!!
The trimming of the candle I save it for another project that I have on my mind and I will show you it soon!
Hope you enjoy it!

Thinking in art

hello!
Hope you are all good this day and tomorrow also, and why not the day after tomorrow and l;et it go like this ja!
I have been working in new recycling projects,  like using bottle caps, making like tile type pendants form paper and cards, and I love to crafts, so I don't like to throw things away, but with the use of stamps, ink, sometimes embossing powders and some colours I made cards from left over, use the leaflet that come every day, magazine pages, the empty cardboard rollers, left overs ... I will be posting pictures of what I have been doing.  By the way my recycled x mas card was a success!!! Everybody was so interest in them!  And explain to the people I gave them, they also become more interested in savings thing and recycling!
The good thing is taking the messages around and get people interested in recycling, and remember always do thing one step at the time!
I am thinking seriously to make a web page to begin selling my stuff...I love strange thinks...and I think that out there are many people like me, who want to make a difference in somehow in this world!
Well I will tell you as soon I make that web page...that most be my priority for this year... don't you think so...and always I will be teaching how to make stuff from stuff!!!
A big hugs!!!

PD:  I forgot to tell you that I am making my own stamps form original work of mine...did i say it right|???
